Nature Treks

Follow deer trails at dawn, read the stars at midnight, and sleep out where the owls talk back. Our treks turn 120 acres of forest, meadow, and shoreline into one giant classroom.

Boots On, Eyes Open

Naturalist counselors lead small crews onto the trail system daily: tracking fox prints, testing stream water, pressing wildflowers, and mapping the woods. Older campers cap the week with an overnight expedition — dinner over a fire they built themselves.

  • Guided hikes from half-mile loops to full-day treks

How far do campers hike?

Half-mile nature loops for juniors, up to five miles for teens — always with water stops, trail snacks, and a sweep counselor at the back.

What happens on the overnight expedition?

Campers aged 9+ hike out with guides, cook dinner over a fire, sleep in expedition tents, and return by lunch — a week highlight for most kids.

What about ticks, bugs, and allergies?

Daily tick checks, treated trails, nut-aware trail snacks, and every guide carries first aid plus emergency communication.
